Piburg Lake and Seejöchl

At the ingenious Ötztal Relief in the Infopoint Ambach we get an overview of the Ötztal and today's hike.

On our way we’ll visit the devil's forge and get an insight into an old craft. From Piburg it's a steeper climb to the Seejöchl. There are many interesting things to tell about the lake, its special history of origin, natural history research and the so-called Olszewski tube... We hike down the Rudolf Schock trail to the Seehäusl, where we can enjoy the water up close.

Finally we’ll conclude our hike with a short guided tour through the old town center of Oetz.
