Hohe Mut with Rotmoos- and Gaisbergtal

The summit of the Hohe Mut towers high above Obergurgl. This panoramic peak, which was shaped by the ice age, is characterized by its gigantic panoramic view of 21 three-thousand-meter peaks and the surrounding high alpine glacier world. From Obergurgl the summit can be reached pleasantly by cable car, somewhat more strenuously but all the more rewardingly through the Gaisbergtal or Rotmoostal valleys. The Rotmoostal valley in particular has been a research location for decades due to its highly suitable landscape structure for natural history research and its proximity to the Obergurgl University Center.
