This adventurous hike is part of the Ötztaler Urweg and leads along the Auerklamm [Auer gorge] through the forest.
The Auerklamm is one of the most famous canyoning routes in Austria. During the hike you often have a view down into the gorge. In addition to beautiful waterfalls and viewpoints, with a bit of luck you can also watch brave athletes abseiling, sliding or jumping.
The 3D-map of the Ötztal Nature Park and the Devil's Smithy in Ambach, the Auenstein castle ruins, the Hexenplatte lookout point and the old town center of Oetz provide special impressions on this hike.
